What is Cannonball™ Collective?
Well, we wrote a little statement here. We’re a group of people trying to bring a little fun, joy and inspiration to our (your) everyday lives. But if you need more info. then by all means dig through the site to get a feel for what we’re doing. And if you still have questions after that, email us.
Where can I find more cool stuff about Cannonball Collective?
Why, thank you for asking! We have lots of great stuff on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! Make sure to share, like, retweet, tag, you name it. Comment, share pix, ideas, suggestions, and more. We didn’t include the word “Collective” in our name for no reason—the point is to have a collective—or community—of people sharing ideas, resources, and generally awesome stuff with each other.
What is a Cannonball Kit?
We’re all about doing things! And what better way than to bring experiences to life through a curated collection of goods and inspiration, delivered straight to your doorstep. Our Kits of remarkable products are crafted to help you learn and experience something new in a super-fun, super-cool way. You’ll discover new things and will actually try your hand at something vs. just reading about it—and you’ll have fun to boot! I mean, can you ask for anything more? Head on over to the DO section of our site to see all the kits we currently have available.
How do I gift a Cannonball Kit?
Why, how generous of you! Cannonball Kits do make great gifts! To gift a Kit, just put it in your shopping cart and indicate it’s a gift. You’ll have the opportunity to provide a gift message during checkout and we’ll take it from there.
How are products different from Kits?
In addition to our amazing Cannonball Kits, we also offer standalone products just like a traditional store (we know, genius, right?). Visit our SHOP to see what we have. And we’re adding new cool stuff all the time so make sure to keep popping back!
Where do you find all your stuff?
Well, the short answer is that we spend lots of time surfing the ‘Net, reading books and magazines, exploring cities, neighborhoods, and shops looking for inspiring people, places, and things, and talking to our friends, their friends, etc. Sometimes all it takes is a kernel of an idea to get us going and we hunt away! We are all about showcasing things that we personally find exciting, interesting, and cool. I mean, if we don’t like something, how can we expect you to? That being said:

Where are your products made?
Mostly our products are made in the good ol’ US of A. But as a global brand with global appeal, our products can come from all over the world. For example, in our Torn & Frayed Cannonball Kit we have awesome steel scissors from England and beautiful fabric swatches (and yummy candy!) from Japan. We especially like working with small companies who do wonderful, small-batch, often mostly handmade stuff but there are a lot of other, larger companies out there doing and making neat stuff too so we make sure to keep our eyes peeled regardless!
Orders and Payment
I placed an order. Can I cancel?
Oof. This is a tough one. We get it if you change your mind about an item or an order so send us a quick email. We may be able to cancel an order as long as it hasn’t yet entered the shipping process. Once it’s entered the shipping phase though, that sucker is out the door and you’ll need to follow our Returns process.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx). Oh, and if you have a Cannonball Collective gift card given to you by a generous individual, we will most definitely accept that!
Will I be charged tax for my order?
Different states have different taxes rules. If your state requires a sales tax, you’ll see that charge automatically added to your order during the checkout process.
Are there any additional fees?
Just shipping and handling and you’ll see that during the checkout process.
Shipping and Returns
We have pretty robust Shipping and Return Policies and invite you to visit those pages for more information. If you still have questions after you’ve done that and/or have questions we haven’t covered, or if you just want to compliment us on our wonderful policies, please drop us an email.
How do I unsubscribe from your emails?
Hm. Well, if you must, simply click on the unsubscribe link in the latest email from us. Please keep in mind it could take a few days for our records to be fully updated, but from then on out we will follow your new email preferences. If you choose the ‘Unsubscribe’ option, you’ll still have access to all the fantastic content on our site. And if you do decide to Unsubscribe, any feedback from you on why would be super-helpful.
What are my options for giving a gift?
Our Gift page is a great “how to” resource on this. But the short answer is that anything from our Shop can be gifted. This includes individual items, Cannonball Kits, and e-Gift Cards. If you’re buying an item from our Shop as a gift, just note that during checkout.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Nope, not now. We don’t have the kind of labor that Santa has. But check back in case this changes!
Do you offer gift messaging?
Why yes, yes we do! You will see the gift and gift message prompts during the shopping and checkout process. The message will be printed on a nice card and placed in the package. We do include the packing list but as a matter of practice—and for a variety of reasons—we do not list prices or payment information on it.
How do gift cards work for recipients?
Our gift card redemption process is pretty darn simple. All you have to do is pop over to our Shop and do a little—you guessed it—shopping. Add whatever items you’d like to your shopping cart. During the checkout process enter the code from the back of your Gift Card or from your E-Gift Card email to redeem the dollar value given to you. Provide your shipping address, submit your order, and you are good to go! Then go sit down and write a nice thank you card to the generous person who gave you this gift. Questions? Email us! Gift cards are good for two years.
Someone sent me a gift from your Shop but I need to return it. How do I do that?
Ooof! If you’re returning an item that was purchased as a gift to you, please email us, note “Gift Return” in the subject line, and include the following information:
- Your order number
- What item(s) you’d like to return
- Reason you want to return the product (we really like good feedback!)
Your refund will be in the form of a store credit. Please note you will have to pay for your own return shipping. Please review our Return Policy for further details.
